Halekauwila Place is an affordable rental project being developed by Stanford Carr under the name Halekauwila Partners LLC. Halekauwila Place will be located next to mother Walden Park and 690 Pohukaina being developed by Forrest City. The proposed transit station along Ward Avenue is also located nearby. The Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC) put out an RFP of which Stanford Carr was selected. The approximate time of construction is 18 months which means a completion date in Spring/Summer of 2014. Some of the funding for the project came from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through their Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program in addition to a construction loan provided by the HHFDC.
Halekauwila Place will be a 204 unit apartment high rise comprised of studio, one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom units with maximum income limits and gross rents as follows:

Rent includes water and sewer services. All other utilities (ie. electric, phone, cable) are tenant responsibilities. Rents and income ranges are subject to change. There will be one parking space per unit for tenant-registered vehicle.
